The process of creating stop motion animation videos can offer access to students who struggle in math. By providing an engaging and visual mode of exploration, teachers are able to differentiate math instruction to meet the needs of all students. ELL students, as well as those with learning disabilities involving executive dysfunction and processing skills, benefit from the opportunity to work with technology and manipulatives to stimulate discussion allowing them to identify math concepts in the real world. In this session, participants will learn how to use the free apps, Stop Motion Studio and Adobe Spark, to create and edit their own videos focused on a mathematical concept.
